• Jeremy Fischbach, Founder/Chief Executive Officer

    Jeremy Fischbach is the Founder of Happy, whose mission is to create a more supportive culture by expanding access to the essential ingredient of mental health and by teaching and inspiring people to better emotionally support each other. Prior to Happy, Jeremy was the CEO of Myne, which built interactive educational and sports analytics software that leveraged users’ psychographic data to improve performance. Jeremy has a psychology degree from Princeton and a J.D. from NYU.

  • Kristan Toth, Co-Founder/Chief People Officer

    Kristan brings to Happy decades of experience supporting people in a broad range of social service settings, including Women's Health, Child Welfare, and Community Education Systems. Kristan completed her B.A. in Psychology from Boston University and has a degree in Educational Psychology from New York University with a focus on the Psychology of Parenthood and Drug and Alcohol Counseling.

  • Josh Thiel, Chief Operating Officer

    Josh led large units at critical times for the nation. In 2018, he Commanded 2000 U.S. and Coalition Special Operations Troops along with 18,000 Afghan Commandos which conducted 85% of all combat operations. In 2019-2020, Josh was chartered to rebuild the Special Operations training environment across the U.S. to account for modern warfare, Russian, and Chinese capabilities. His final service was as the Chief Operating Officer for the division size element, Security Force Assistance Command, as they began initial deployments across the globe for strategic partnership. Josh is the author of six publications. He volunteers as an innovation hackathon judge to advise one the best technology in development for the warfighters. With two Masters Degrees complete, he is working toward his Doctorate in Technology and Innovation through Purdue University.

    Ely Alvarado, Co-Founder/Chief Technology Officer

    Ely has decades of experience as a full stack developer with psych-tech expertise. Previously, Ely was the CTO of Myne, which built psych-tech applications for companies ranging from Paramount and Random House to Pearson Education. Prior to that, Ely worked for Smartmatic Inc, managing all technical and operational aspects of automated election projects around the world.

  • Summer Echelson, Director of Support Giver Support

    Upon graduating college with a degree in education, Summer worked for years teaching Language Arts, Drama, and working with students placed in alternative programs. After leaving education to focus on her family, she helped organize and run children’s literacy programs and events before. More recently, Summer spent several years as a professional caregiver supporting older adults unable to care for themselves. From her earliest working experience through her current position, Summer has made a career of listening to, and helping others, with particular emphasis on equity and social justice. Her years of experience, strong work ethic, and willingness to always listen and learn have allowed her to connect with people and foster positive relationships throughout her life.

  • James Meaden, Lead Data Scientist

    James is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with 15 years of experience applying methods and best practices from Behavioral Science and Machine Learning to solve business challenges. James is a leader in the application of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing in psychological assessment and has been invited to speak on these topics at industry conferences.

  • Eddie Brown, Director of Department of Defense Sales

    Eddie is a Veteran and a seasoned and highly successful business development professional with 35 plus years at the intersection of commercial business solutions, government mission needs, and federal acquisition pathways. His work with and understanding of federal government mission needs include the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps, the Joint Staff, US Special Operations Command, Special Mission Units, the Defense Innovation Unit, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, and the National Intelligence University. Eddie has helped Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), National Security Innovation Network (NSIN), SOFWERX, Naval-X, Elevate Scott for the 375th Wing, Air Mobility Command (AMC), and NGA Moonshot Labs plan and execute their innovation platforms.

    Julia Gomez is a freelance graphic designer and entrepreneur with more than 10 years of experience in graphic design and marketing.
    She designs meaningful brands for bold entrepreneurs following a methodology that combines marketing, design, and visual arts.
    She collaborates with all types of clients from entrepreneurs to multinationals. Her main goal is to collaborate on projects whose impact on the market and the world can be very significant and positive.
